Music Friyay: Feist, Sharon Van Etten, Elvis Presley
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
Feist - The Reminder
Feist’s 2007 album is a beautiful mix of poppy sounds with introspective, delicate songs. My favorite? “My Moon, My Man.”
Sharon Van Etten - Are We There
Van Etten’s 2015 album is absolutely gorgeous. Her voice is otherworldly. No wonder she was featured on the Netflix show The OA as a gifted singer. My favorite? “Our Love.”
Elvis Presley - Blue Hawaii
Presley’s 1961 album is gold. Many people don’t necessarily speak specifically about Elvis’ individual records so much as his general iconic and bigger than life stature. This early record is gorgeous and innovative. My favorite? All of them.
