Yes Poetry is a magazine for whip-smart people who don't fit in, who want to challenge themselves, who find themselves interested in activism, provocative art, and crave intellectual and creative stimulation. This is a magazine for the outcasts - for the kind of people who don't settle, for the kind of people who dream, for the kind of people who want to make the world a better place.
We want your best, your gems. We want your essays, longform pieces, interviews, reviews, poetry, fiction, art, and music. Basically, we want anything you create. We want you to write about that weird ambient musician, that obscure poet; we want your weird poems and short stories.
That being said, we accept only previously unpublished material. We publish issues, special features, and various series. Basically, we just want to get to know you. If we could, we’d wine & dine you.
We encourage all types of work, as long as it's authentic and real and raw. We do not publish based on age, gender, location, or race, but only on quality. That being said, we strongly encourage women, queer, non-binary, and POC to submit. We want to hear what you have to say.
