TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS

 

I have never been happy or sad buying Scotch tape. Which is why

when people ask: “When you die, what would you like to come

back as? I almost always say: "Scotch tape." Although sometimes,

if I am in the right mood, I say: “Anything but Scotch tape.”

Ricky Garni was born in Miami and grew up in Florida and Maine. He works as a graphic designer by day and writes music by night. COO, a tiny collection of short prose printed on college lined paper with found materials such as coins, stamps and feathers, was recently released by Bitterzoet Press.

Alexandra Smyth: July 2016 Poet of the Month

Alexandra Smyth lives in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of the City College of New York MFA Creative Writing Program. She was a finalist for the 2015 Cobalt Review Gabriela Mistral Poetry Prize and a recipient of the 2014 Poets and Writers Amy Award. Her work has appeared in Cobalt Review, Gravel, and TAB, among others.

Ori Fienberg: August 2017 Poet of the Month

A graduate of the Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program, Ori Fienberg’s short prose has appeared or is forthcoming in many journals including Beecher’s Magazine, Essay Daily, Entropy Magazine, The Laurel Review, and the Mid-American Review. Ori creates educational resources to promote academic integrity at the College of Professional Studies of Northeastern University in Boston, and lives with his wife, and dog, in Evanston, IL.
