Music Friyay: DeVotchKa, Bruno Pernadas, Black Marble
By Joanna C. Valente
Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:
DeVotchKa - “Give Me Something”
The Eastern European-centric band released a new song and it’s the same dreamy, whimsical quality they do best with drolling vocals.
Bruno Pernadas - Those Who Throw Objects at Crocodiles Will Be Asked to Retrieve Them
The 2016 album is a sci-fi funk retro ambient dream. My favorite? “Valley in the Ocean.”
Black Marble - A Different Arrangement
The 2012 album is reminiscent of New Order and new wave synth. Its distant vocals exude an underwater feel. My favorite? “A Great Design:”
