Tabernacle
Don't closet spotless lamb with unplanned habits.
Cabinet with the headdress, the rest with the coif.
Clergy burn toys in the museum of stitched hope. The antipope
stoic, a gold mantlepiece by candlelight. The monk's underveil.
We pray to space. We fail. We jail so long. Either way,
the cave is made a chapel by dawn.
